TURN A MISSING DRAWER into an OPEN SHELF

When you come across a piece of furniture that has a missing a drawer, what do you do?
For this project I turn this space into a shelf.

With the frame that was already there from the drawer one large board could be used to make a shelf.
First I would have to get that middle drawer runner out of the way, and this one was pretty secure
so I brought in the big guns and used the crow bar and hammer.

I had an old cupboard door that needed a slight trim and then it fit the space to make the shelf.

I painted most of the shelf board outside of the cupboard before securing it in place
with screws from underneath. I found the perfect molding at the local RESTORE to trim the
front of the shelf. The trim molding was nailed into place then painted.

Don't turn away from furniture that has a drawer issue ... BE INSPIRED BY IT!!!
