COLONIAL NIGHTSTANDS & SWITCH PLATE COVERS

This pair of 1970's colonial nightstands have been painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and given an old world finish using dark wax. I have offered some links to several articles showing how I achieved this look.

Originally they were a caramel brown color before they
were spray painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. To learn
more about spray painting with ASCP follow this link: https://bit.ly/2lvQR3y

I distressed the paint finish on these nightstand before moving on to the next step. For tips on distressing ASCP this next link will offer some options: https://bit.ly/2Nvlq6B

The real trick to achieving this old world effect is furniture
wax. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is designed to be used with a
clear wax but there is also a dark wax that helped me get this
result. To learn more about waxing with clear and
 dark waxes check this link:

Besides painting and waxing these nightstands I also added
legs before the painting started. To get some tips on installing
legs check out this article: https://bit.ly/2iv45LM
